Challenge:
When MONY Financial Services decided to move to Westchester County, NY, the company wanted to develop a community and public affairs program that would establish their newly relocated Group and Pension Operations Center as one of the area’s leading corporations.  After interviewing several agencies, the financial services company selected The Seroka Group for a two year program that led to some significant accomplishments.

Approach:
Our involvement began several months before the start of the program by meeting with representatives from their human resources department to ascertain their exact business goals and requirements.

Over the next two weeks, we co-developed an integrated marketing communications campaign and implemented the program activities within the following five domains:

Local media relations - we prepared a series of news releases about employees and community events designed to reach the local business community.

Community relations - we established a multi-year program for successful involvement with the Westchester County Association, the County Chamber of Commerce and other civic membership groups.

Special events - provided project planning for special events including: the GPOC building dedication ceremony, MONYRun 10km race, Skin Cancer Detection Program, Latchkey Children Symposium and MONY Adopt-a-School Program.

Government relations - served as liaison to local, county and state officials and advised senior management about public-private civic events, issues and program activities.

Editorial services - provided editorial services including speech writing, press releases and employee publications.

Results:
According to our client, The Seroka Group’s assistance in establishing a corporate and community relations program was invaluable to MONY Financial Services. They provided us with the contacts that we needed to help facilitate our marketing campaign and initiate our recruiting efforts. They were able to identify priorities and establish plans that would make MONY a viable entity within the Westchester community.
